Adolf Loos Diamond Cut

Adolf Loos Diamond Cut

Designed by Austrian architect and pioneer of Modernism Adolf Loos in 1931-32, this set of glassware is the only daily-use item designed by Loos, who was famously skeptical of architects creating utilitarian items. The stemless set has a hand-engraved diamond pattern on the exterior of its heavy base and is timelessly elegant and contemporary despite being conceived almost a century ago in a collaborative process of constant refinement between designer and craftsman that took close to 12 months.
